So, stating the obvious... Obama sitting on Santa's lap with kids behind him that are unhappy. I think that the artist was trying to say that Obama keeps naming off things that he wants on his so called "wish list." The kids behind him probably represent the American people who are extremely unhappy and very mad about the things he wants and the choices he makes. This may also represent that the artist believes that Obama will do what he wants without the consent of the American people and just do what he thinks is right even if there are a lot of people who do not agree with him at all.
Okay, as far as my opinion goes, I have to agree with the artist. I am neither strictly to the left or the right when it comes to Presidential politics because I disagree and agree with both sides on different aspects of their beliefs for the country. However, I do not agree with Obama on very much. I do think he has this evergrowing wish list of things he wants and there are things he tries to act oblivious to when it comes to the people agreeing with his actions. I personally believe that some of his decisions are to better his benefits when it all comes down to it. He tends to focus on the dumbest things and wastes money on them too. I'm not saying that a republican would have been better because they like to spend like money grows on trees as well. But just in subject of just this picture itself, I do not agree with Obama, but I do agree with the artists interpretation of the image.

this is a really well thought out responce to this political cartoon. and i apreciate it. not only is it coming from the perspective an American person, but also from the perspective of the government. -rylee
this is absolutely hysterical, yet so true! If you think about the incopetancy of the government they basically are all monkies dressed up in nice suits and doing things that they believe will be best for them.
ha. paul just called obama a monkey. but i agree. he needs to get off santas lap and give someone else a chance to fix this country. he's already failed.
